Gide has advised Société Générale on its investment in the management company Reed Management SAS, as a result of which it holds 75% of its share capital.
Reed Management SAS is a French asset management company that targets critical infrastructure with sustainable, industrialized and economically relevant solutions. Reed Management SAS was founded by Julien Touati, a well-known alternative investment specialist with nearly 20 years' experience across infrastructure and energy transition, including 12 years at Meridiam, where he launched and successfully managed the Meridiam Transition fund.
As part of this investment, Société Générale has undertaken to commit EUR 250 million in the first investment fund managed by Reed Management SAS, which could be increased up to EUR 350 million. Considered investments would include hybrid infrastructure projects combining technology and industrial know-how in energy, water and waste.
Gide's team was headed by Paul Guillemin, partner, Corentin Charlès, counsel and Charlotte Duval, associate, on corporate/M&A aspects; Stéphane Puel, partner, Clothilde Beau, counsel and Pierre Andriuzzi, associate, on regulatory aspects and the negotiation of the investment conditions in the first investment fund; Foulques Delaporte, counsel, on tax law aspects; and Pauline Manet, counsel, on labour law aspects.
Reed Management SAS was advised by Testu, Hill, Henry-Gaboriau & Associés and Clifford Chance.
