We are pleased to present our legal guide to CSR, structured around two central topics: information and communication obligations and corporate management and strategy obligations, with a focus on nine areas where CSR-related legal considerations have a particularly strong impact on corporate management, strategy and governance.
At a time when ESG issues are taking on considerable importance in corporate circles, this guide is intended as a reference and interactive tool for all corporate players who need to know the main texts governing the obligations of companies in terms of CSR, and to understand the legal issues related to company practices.
According to the European Commission's definition, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is "the process. whereby enterprises integrate social, environmental, ethical and human rights concerns into their core". It covers the environmental, social or societal aspects of a company's management, strategy and activities and its governance (ESG), which are the extra-financial criteria used by investors to assess the company's performance in terms of sustainability.
