The Gide 255 team, with Matthieu Lucchesi and Franck Guiader, advised LUGH on establishing a digital asset, known as the Lugh, whose value will be pegged to the euro.
This assignment aimed to ensure that the launch of this unique digital asset adhered to the regulatory framework in force, and to support Lugh in the administrative steps with French regulatory bodies.
Lugh will draw on the expertise of SCEME, supplying the issuance and management infrastructure for Lugh, and of Nomadic Labs, a French specialist in blockchain Tezos, on which Lugh will be issued. Lugh will also benefit from the support of group Casino, which sees in this project a chance to develop, long-term, innovative payment methods and loyalty programmes.
This project was established in partnership with Coinhouse, a reference player in France for investments in crypto-assets by individuals and companies alike, as well as with Société Générale, and PwC France and Maghreb.
The issuance of Lugh is a major breakthrough in supporting the digital assets sector in France.
