On 20 December 2013, the HICL Infrastructure Company Limited group (“HICL”) acquired from Bouygues Construction a holding company holding 85% of Prisma 21. This company is dedicated to implementing the partnership contract concluded with the University of Burgundy as part of the Campus operation.
Comprising two subsidiaries of Bouygues Construction, Pertuy Construction and Bouygues Energie & Services FM France, Prisma 21 holds the contract for the 25-year partnership entered into with the University of Burgundy on 18 July 2013 for the design, construction, financing and maintenance of three new buildings, the refurbishment of a fourth, and the renovation of the monumental artwork "Tente" by artist Yaacov Agam.
This project is part of the “Opération Campus” programme launched in 2008 for the financing of nine promising and innovative university campuses. The University of Burgundy was selected as an Innovative Campus in 2009.
The Bouygues Construction group entities will continue to carry out in particular the technical aspects of the project, alongside Pertuy Construction for the engineering and construction, and Bouygues Energies & Services FM France for maintenance and major renewal operations and accommodation management services. The project was financed by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Ltd.
This is a first brownfield operation in France for HICL.
Gide advised HICL on this operation, with a team comprising partners Thomas Courtel and Nadège Nguyen, counsel Marie Bouvet-Guiramand, and associates Anne Framezelle and Alice Mayer.
