The teams of Gide Tunis and Gide Algiers are pleased to have worked with Sumitomo Electric Group on its establishment in Tunisia through the creation of a manufacturing plant dedicated to wiring harnesses for the automotive industry.
Deemed by Tunisian authorities as an "investment of national interest", this EUR 20 million project will employ over 5,000 people when it reaches cruising speed. It is one of the most significant foreign direct investments in Tunisia in 2019.
Gide's teams that assisted Sumitomo Electric Group on this project were headed by partner Samy Laghouati, working with GLN-A partner Anis Jabnoun and associate Mohamed Essid in Tunis, and counsel Julien Gontier in Algiers.
