Gide is advising OVHcloud, a French cloud-computing company, and other European players in a complaint against Microsoft for abuses of a dominant position on the market for cloud computing services.
This complaint denounces 7 practices. It describes the way in which Microsoft abuses its dominant position in relation to certain key products, such as Office Suite, in order to hinder the development of its competitors, such as OVHcloud, on the market for cloud computing services.
Microsoft's practices notably consist in making these essential products more expensive and less functional when they are to be integrated into the cloud solutions of Microsoft's competitors. They undermine competition by ultimately limiting consumers' choice.
The Gide team advising OVHcloud and the other complainants is composed of partner Laurent Godfroid, senior associate Marc-Antoine de Chillaz, and associates Mélanie Gouraud and Rolline Skehan.
