Gide has advised Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance, the Crédit Agricole Group's consumer credit subsidiary, on the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Pledg, a fintech specialising in fractional and deferred payments.
The aim of this strategic transaction is to leverage the technological investments made by Pledg to strengthen Sofinco's fractional payment offering and, more broadly, to support Sofinco's ambitions to be the leader in point-of-sale and e-commerce financing in France.
The Gide team comprised partner Thomas Urlacher and associates Arthur Lemaitre and Saad Chati on M&A/corporate aspects and partner Julien Guinot-Deléry on IT aspects.
