Gide has advised Primonial on acquiring a majority stake (51%) in the share capital of Union Générale des Placements, a specialist in the design and distribution of structured investment solutions for institutional and corporate clients.
Already active on this asset class for its distribution networks via subsidiary DS Investment Solutions, with this strategic partnership group Primonial looks to boost its development with a new type of client and extend the whole of this activity in Europe.
Gide's team advising Primonial comprised partner Caroline Lan, working with counsel Paul Guillemin and associate Marguerite Drouard on corporate/M&A aspects, and partner Guillaume Goffin and counsel Alexis Bonzom on regulatory aspects.
The sellers were advised by Delsol Avocats on legal aspects, and Rothschild on financial aspects.
