Recruitment for training contracts starting in 2025, 2026 and beyond is now opened.
To apply, please upload your CV TRAINING CONTRACT (⬅ Click on the link) and we will send you an application form.
The deadline for applications to be received by us is Monday, 15 July 2024.
We apply strict selection criteria to all training contract applications to ensure that we are recruiting a diverse group of trainees, solely on their merits. Applications are reviewed on an anonymous basis and we take account of mitigating circumstances where appropriate. In the later stages our younger lawyers are involved in the assessment process.
We are specifically seeking candidates who demonstrate the following skills or potential to develop them:
If you meet our academic and skills selection criteria, we will ask you to complete some exercises online. If you are successful, we will invite you to attend an assessment day. This is an opportunity for you to meet the team and to decide whether Gide London is the right fit for you. We will also ask you to take part in various tasks to demonstrate your skills and potential. We believe that this part of selecting our future trainees is very definitely a two-way process and we will give you plenty of opportunity to have frank discussions with our current trainees and our lawyers.
If you pass the assessment, you will be invited to an interview with the Gide London Managing Partner and the Training Principal. Interviews will take place by the end of September and we generally interview around 10% of applicants.
We will aim to make offers to successful candidates in the first two weeks of October 2024 and we will give you two weeks within which to accept or decline our offer.
We will always inform you if your application has not been successful and will provide the reasons for your being unsuccessful upon request. We will do our best to respond as quickly as possible, but we may not get back to you until November once the recruitment programme has finished.
