Gide has advised BNP Paribas on signing an agreement with Neuflize OBC and UGC on the acquisition of their stakes in Cofiloisirs, which would give BNP Paribas full ownership of Cofiloisirs. BNP Paribas will also gain control of Cinécapital, a specialised consultancy wholly owned by Cofiloisirs.
This transaction will add to BNP Paribas' specialist offer as regards the financing of media companies. It will be able to offer producers bespoke structured financing, suited to the cultural and creative industries, such as original series, whose market is growing exponentially.
The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2022, after approval by ACPR French supervisory authority.
