Michel Servoz has held several positions within the European Commission in Brussels. He was successively Deputy Secretary General in charge of policy coordination, then Director General in charge of Employment, and finally senior advisor to Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, on questions relating in particular to the digital economy.
He previously held various positions within the Directorate General for Trade, notably dealing with WTO negotiations on services, transatlantic trade negotiations and other bilateral negotiations. Before working for the European Commission,
Michel Servoz was a law professor, judge and Deputy Secretary General at the Paris Court of Cassation. A graduate of the National School of Magistracy, he also has a master's degree in public law and international relations and a diploma from the Institute of Political Studies.
