Gide's Venture Capital team, led by partners Pierre Karpik and David-James Sebag, is top-ranked in the Venture Capital ranking, both in terms of value and volume, published by French magazine specialising in financial deals, Capital Finance (part of the Les Echos financial news group) on Monday 23 April 2018.
Gide establishes itself once again as an essential partner on venture capital operations, with over 60 cases handled in 2017 for an aggregate total of nearly 570 million euros raised.
'Essential' is an adjective that suits Gide perfectly. The firm has once again demonstrated its skill in working with investment funds and entrepreneurs on raising funds for French start-ups. Advising on 63 funding rounds in France, the French law firm tops our table of venture capital lawyers for 2017. The figure is impressive but quite usual for the firm, whose lawyers act every year on around 70 venture capital operations.
