Gide Pro Bono, the endowment fund set up by international law firm Gide in 2011, donated 20,000 euros at the end of October to Médecins Sans Frontières. This donation will serve to support the charity’s fight against the Ebola epidemic in the three worst affected countries of West Africa: Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
Carole Malinvaud, chair of the Gide Pro Bono endowment fund, indicates: “We are pleased to be able to contribute to the fight led by MSF in this region of Africa. It came as a logical conclusion that we should offer our financial support to combating this epidemic, which is rife in a region where we have been legally very active for over 40 years. Our fund receives €250,000 every year from the firm’s partners, which is then allocated to several charities supported by our Pro Bono programme and which are active in providing access to justice, access to education, and helping those most in need.”
