Talents | Eurolawyers Tournament | Malte | 27-31 May 2015
Gide is the first law firm to enter a team in the Eurolawyers tournament, a football cup dedicated to lawyers hailing from all European countries, aimed more specifically at law Bars or their equivalent. This year, it was held in Malta from 27 to 31 May.
Fourteen Gide lawyers flew to the island to battle it out with the other nineteen teams, mainly teams comprising players of a same Bar.
Our young team, created less than a year ago, played six matches in five days. Despite lacking in numbers (the smallest team to take part in the tournament), our players ended their stay in Malta ahead of the Bars of Potenza, Marseille and Istanbul, and the national team of Croatian lawyers, with the satisfaction of knowing they gave it their all.
The Gide team was congratulated by all the captains, international referees and organisers for their sportsmanship both on and off the field, and received the Fair-Play Trophy during the official closing ceremony on Saturday 30 May 2015.
Heartfelt congratulations go to Clément Nourrisson, Barthélémy Littot, Frédéric Pia, Nicolas Jean, Aurélien de Casteja, Harold Herman, Almamy Touré, Luca Chevallier, Hamza Akli, Magueye Gueye, Guilhem Richard, Sacha Najafi, Romain Garçon and Frédéric le Balch (as well as their kind organisers Valérie Typlot, Julien Bastier and Cédric Garnier) for their exertions and first-rate representation of Gide during the tournament!
