Founded in Paris in 1920, Gide is a leading international law firm with 12 offices spread throughout the world.

The war in Ukraine and the armed aggression against the Ukrainian people challenge our values of freedom and humanism. Our firm is very affected and concerned by the situation, and our thoughts are of course with the people of Ukraine.
We cannot, and should not, remain indifferent. We are determined to act in support of the victims:
- From Warsaw, our lawyers are working to assist the influx of refugees and we salute their remarkable efforts: material assistance, logistical support, search for accommodation, and free legal assistance to the victims via a dedicated ad hoc group of lawyers.
- Gide Warsaw is also contributing financially to humanitarian actions in Poland through a major Polish humanitarian charity, via donations by its members.
- The Gide Pro Bono endowment fund has also voted an emergency donation to a major international charity, working with its peers in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.
- Lastly, our teams in London and Brussels are analysing every day the applicable sanctions so that our clients may bear them in mind and comply with them where necessary (read more here).
