The Gide Warsaw Capital Markets department has advised the European Investment Bank on taking up bonds worth PLN 500,000,000, issued by the Polish Development Fund – Polski Fundusz Rozwoju S.A.
The European Investment Bank raises funds on capital markets and provides loans on preferential terms for projects supporting EU objectives. The bonds are intended to finance the implementation of the government programme – “Financial shield of the Polish Development Fund for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises”, which offers support to companies affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The team assisting the client in this operation was led by partner Robert Dulewicz, supported by counsel Michał Śmiechowski and associate Przemysław Kopka. The lawyers from the Capital Markets department of Gide Warsaw provided the client with comprehensive legal assistance in both Polish law and Luxembourg law.
“We are happy that we could once again advise the European Investment Bank. As part of our advice in the bonds acquisition process, we were involved in preparing the structure of the bonds issue together with the parties to the transaction, negotiating the issue documentation and ensuring that the conditions precedent to the disbursement of funds were met by the EIB” – said Robert Dulewicz, the partner heading the Capital Markets department of Gide Warsaw.
