Gide, counsel to the management of group Wella on its majority acquisition by KKR from Coty Inc.

Gide has advised the executive teams of cosmetics group Wella on the acquisition by KKR of a 60% share in the group from Coty Inc., for USD 2.5bn.

The transaction took place on 30 November 2020.

Coty Inc. will retain 40% ownership of group Wella.

Gide's team comprised partners Jean-François Louit and Caroline Lan, working with associate Léa Levesque on corporate aspects, and partner Paul de France on tax aspects.

The executive teams were also advised in London by firm Macfarlanes (partners Adam Campbell and Rob Collard).
