The acquisition of group Cérélia by Ardian was completed on 31 March 2020 through remote closing. Gide advised the executive team on this acquisition.
Group Cérélia is a leading international provider of doughs, specialising in innovative dough solutions with a portfolio of products including tart and pizza bases, pancake batter and cookie dough. Cérélia is based in Paris and numbers over 1,600 employees. The company has 12 production units in Europe and North America, and sells its products in over 50 countries worldwide. It generates a turnover of nearly 500 million euros.
Cérélia financial director, Grégoire Julien, states: "The team of Gide lawyers that advised the executive was a real asset in the preparation, negotiation and execution of this operation: their experience, availability and above all the ease of communication with the entire team largely contributed to the fluency of the entire process and its success, in an unprecedented macro-economic context."
Gide's team comprised partners Jean-François Louit and Caroline Lan, working with associates François Bossé-Cohic and Julie Messerig on corporate aspects; and partner Magali Buchert, working with counsel Brian Martin on tax aspects.
