Michel Guénaire has obtained ten interim orders by the President of the Nanterre Tribunal de grande instance (regional court) ruling alongside chamber members, rejecting over 400 claimants requesting the removal of Linky smart metres.
These proceedings brought against Enedis were characterised by the number of medical pathologies invoked for the first time by the claimants, citing for instance electricity hypersensitivity, diabetes, hypothyroidism and epilepsy.
The significance of the interim orders rendered is vital considering that the Nanterre regional court is the court local to Enedis' headquarters and has received complaints from all of France.
The interim orders were highly anticipated following the unfavourable order handed down by the Tours Tribunal de grande instance on 30 July.
