Gide has advised IDIA, Crédit Agricole's private equity subsidiary, and Crédit Agricole d'Aquitaine's CAAP Energies fund on their acquisition of a stake in Valorem, an independent renewable energy operator for 30 years, alongside AIP Management.
Valorem has received a firm offer for a total transaction of €550 million, including a capital raising of €200 million.
GSO, IRDI and Bpifrance, already shareholders in the company, have renewed their confidence in Valorem.
3i Infrastructure will sell its stake on this occasion, 8 years after it acquired a stake in Valorem. During this period, Valorem has succeeded in increasing its installed capacity by a factor of 5 and expects to produce 1.5 TWh in 2024. Valorem has developed its international presence and its portfolio of projects now totals 6.6 GW.
Completion of the transaction is subject to the completion of an information-consultation procedure and the satisfaction of the necessary regulatory conditions.
Gide’s team comprised partner Alexis Pailleret and associate Chloé Bouhours.
