Gide has advised Solairedirect, a reference player in the solar energy production market, its founders and financial shareholders (Demeter Partners, Techfund Europe, Aster Capital and Ofi Asset Management) on the 95% sale of its share capital to ENGIE. ENGIE was advised by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
As part of this sale, ENGIE will inject 130 million euros into Solairedirect via capital increase. The tie-up enables ENGIE to bolster its position in the solar sector, becoming no. 1 on the
French market with a total gross installed capacity of 383 MW. It also strengthens ENGIE’s positions throughout the world, Solairedirect developing projects in 15 countries where ENGIE is also present.
The Gide team advising Solairedirect and the sellers comprised Antoine Lelong and Axelle Toulemonde (partners), Yohan Jabbour Gedeon and Maud Harreau.
