Gide has advised KKR, Silverback and Schroder Real Estate Hotels on the acquisition of the Forest Hill La Villette hotel, as well as the adjoining restaurant operated under the Hippopotamus banner in Paris. This acquisition is the first for Schroder Real Estate Hotels since the arrival of Algonquin Management Partners in its real estate business. KKR's investment was made through its Real Estate European Partners fund.
The Forest Hill hotel is a 250-room, 4-star establishment, located at 28 Avenue Corentin Cariou, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, at Porte de la Villette metro station and in front of the Cité des Sciences. Schroder Real Estate Hotels is the appointed manager of the hotel.
Gide's team comprised partner Frédéric Nouel with associates Cléopha Thomann and Clémence Viaud on corporate and real estate aspects, partner Laurent Modave with counsel Alexandre Bochu on tax aspects, and partner Laetitia Lemercier on financing aspects.
