Gide advised Veolia Environnement on the establishment of its first Panda Bonds Programme in a DFI registration format (universal registration format) approved by the NAFMII (National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors) in accordance with its new regulations.
Veolia Environnement is the first French corporate benefitting from a Panda Bonds Programme in this new universal registration format, allowing to proceed with public issuances and private placements in continental China.
Gide had already advised Veolia on the establishment of Panda Bonds Programmes in 2016 and in 2019, and the issuances thereunder.
Gide’s team comprised partner Laurent Vincent assisted by associate Shanna Kim in Paris on French law aspects and partner Jiannian Fan in Shanghai on Chinese law aspects.
