News | Carine Dymon joins the Investment Funds and Asset Management team practice
By integrating Carine Dymon into its Investment Fund and Asset Management, Gide is expanding its practice with expertise based on unique experience gained in the field of Private Funds to strengthen its team and assist French and international fund managers in creating and raising investment funds, as well as for their investment and disinvestment transactions.
The firm's Investment Fund and Asset Management team, which is currently made up of three partners (Stéphane Puel, Guillaume Goffin and Benjamin Delaunay), one Counsel (Clothilde Beau) and 12 associates, works in all fields of asset management, from the formation of portfolio management companies to fund structuring and raising, as well as disciplinary disputes with regulators.
After studying at Paris II Panthéon-Assas University, Carine Dymon practised for eleven years (2000-2011) in international business law firms (Arthur Andersen, SJ Berwin/King Wood & Mallesons and Clifford Chance) as a lawyer specialised in structuring and creating investment funds restricted to professional investors in France and around the world. Between 2011 and 2024, she then created and developed an "Investment Funds" legal department as part of the Legal and Tax Affairs Division of the Consignments and Loans Fund, Deposit and Consignment Office (CDC). In this context, she particularly guided strategic projects for the creation and structuring of investment funds in France and abroad, and assisted the CDC in developing its investor activity, contributing to defining market standards.
"I am thrilled to be joining Gide and, in particular, to work with Stéphane with whom I have collaborated on several occasions on strategic cases. My dual experience as both a lawyer and in-house counsel at the CDC, alongside the development of the Private Funds industry, has allowed me to work closely with people in the sector, to factor in the financial aspect of the challenges and to find innovative solutions in an ever-changing economic, financial and regulatory environment,” said Carine Dymon.
"We are delighted to welcome Carine Dymon to the firm. Her knowledge of international investors, her renowned expertise in structuring investment funds and her operational and pragmatic approach will be precious assets for our clients," said Frédéric Nouel, Senior Partner, and Jean-François Levraud, Managing Partner.
