Gide Loyrette Nouel advised the Caisse des dépôts et consignations, which manages the Fonds national pour la Société Numérique (National Fund for a Digital Society) part of the Programme Investissements d'Avenir (Investing for the Future Programme), on the creation of cloud computing infrastructure company Cloudwatt. Partner companies Orange and Thales were advised by August & Debouzy.
Cloudwatt will receive overall equity capital financing reaching EUR 225 million. Capital allocation is 66.6% for the industrial partners (Orange 44.4%, Thales 22.2%) and 33.3% for the Caisse des Dépôts, which joins the project in its own name and on behalf of the French State in the context of the Programme Investissements d'Avenir.
The Gide and August & Debouzy teams were on hand throughout the project, assisting the Caisse des dépôts et consignations, Orange and Thales in the creation, structuring and development of this project.
