Gide’s Casablanca and Paris offices assisted SPE Capital on the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Ademat from Adenia, a private markets investment firm in Africa.
Founded in Abidjan in 1983, Ademat is the leading provider of power security solutions in Côte d’Ivoire, including generators, inverters, drive systems and other electric equipment in partnership with world-renowned manufacturers. It provides a wide range of technical solutions for companies in various industries, including telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare and hospitality.
SPE Capital, founded in 2016, is an independent Private Equity firm focused on Africa and the Middle East.
The closing took place on April 28, 2021 in Abidjan.
Gide acted as lead legal counsel to SPE Capital, with local counsel BLC Robert & Associates in Mauritius and Cadiciss in Côte d'Ivoire.
