21 November 2013 - Gide is pleased to announce the appointment of Boris Prozorov as a partner in its Moscow office
A specialist in financial operations and banking, Boris Prozorov joins Gide as partner and co-head of its Russian Banking & Finance department.
Boris is a graduate of the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade (VAVT) (2004). He began his career at Norton Rose before joining Linklaters in 2005, and has worked on a significant number of representative transactions, in particular advising major Russian corporations and domestic and international banks, such as Gazprombank, BNP Paribas and ING, on natural resources, infrastructure and private equity financings.
Following Tim Theroux being promoted to partner in June this year, Boris Prozorov’s arrival together with two new associates to join the 30 lawyers and legal consultants already practising at Gide’s Moscow office is a clear signal of the firm’s desire to consolidate its leading position in banking and finance law, and more generally in the provision of legal services in Russia. It also highlights the firm’s ability to implement its selective development strategy in France and abroad.
David Lasfargue, partner in charge of Gide in Russia, states: “I am delighted to welcome Boris Prozorov. This appointment demonstrates our desire to strengthen our Banking & Finance practice, which is one of our key priorities in the region.”
Gide’s Senior Partner, Baudouin de Moucheron, adds: “The appointment of Boris Prozorov reflects once again our commitment to our clients by providing them with the best possible legal talent. Strengthening our teams in Eastern Europe reasserts our international strategy regarding these high-potential markets.”
