"Combining my knowledge and experience with Gide's fits perfectly with the firm's existing client base, and I am confident that the merger of our expertise will create new synergies and result in many interesting opportunities, as well as provide real added value to our real estate clients."
"Real estate and construction law is globally one of Gide Loyrette Nouel's key areas of specialisation. The Paris Office employs over 40 real estate lawyers including eight partners. The practice has been ranked as Tier 1 by Chambers Europe for the past 13 years. We consider the Polish real estate market to be very promising, both in the short and long term. This is one of the reasons I relocated from the Paris office to Warsaw in 2011. Marcin's arrival is the next step towards further strengthening of our Polish practice.",
explained Hugues Moreau.
Last year was a very strong year for Gide's Warsaw Real Estate practice, not only thanks to the strengthening of the team, but also thanks to an increase in transaction volume. Some notable instructions include advising Auchan on the acquisition of Real's 109 hypermarkets in Central and Eastern Europe from Metro, which was one of the most significant M&A projects in Europe last year. The team also assisted Unibail-Rodamco on the exit of ING RED from the Złote Tarasy investment (disposal of 77% of shares in the holding entity). The Zloty Tarasy complex in Warsaw includes a 66,200 sq. m.-shopping centre, two office buildings covering 47,300 sq. m. (Lumen Tower and Skylight Tower) and 1,600 parking spaces.
