Member of the Paris Bar since 2014, Frédéric Colmou joined Gide Loyrette Nouel's Projects team in 2019 after five years with leading French and English firms. He specializes in infrastructure projects and public-private partnerships.
Frédéric advises corporates and financial investors as well as governmental entities in matters of regulatory, project contracts (PPP / PFI) and privatization, notably in the fields of energy, telecommunication and transportation (highways, ports, airports). Frédéric has been active in Europe, Africa, Middle-East and Asia
He currently advises EDF for the design and supply of six EPR nuclear reactors, each of a capacity of 1650 MW, in Jaitapur (India),as well as EDF's participation in the tender processes for the design and supply of two EPR reactors in Czech Republic and two EPR reactors in Poland. He also advises EDF for the design of two EPR nuclear reactors in the United Kingdom (Sizewell C).
Over the past years, Frédéric has acted on a wide range of renewable energy (wind, photovoltaic and biomass) greenfield and brownfield transactions. He recently advised Total Renewables in its partnership with Macquarie to develop five wind farms in South Korea for a total capacity of 2 GW.
Frédéric also advises companies and public institutions in the aerospace and defense sector such as DGA,Naval Group and Arianespace.
Frédéric has been seconded to Total Renewables during the first quarter of 2021.
Frédéric is a graduate of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and holds a specialized master's degree from ESCP-Europe.
