Event | Oxford University French Law Moot 2023
Gide returned to a sunny Oxford on 24 May to participate in the Oxford University French Law Moot (“Concours de plaidoiries en droit français”). Gide takes great pride in supporting this event, something it has done since 2008.
The event brings together teams of “Mooters” to debate a question of French law. The competition is organised by Oxford University’s Institute of European and Comparative Law.
Participants of the event are on the French law track of the University of Oxford's BA Law with Law Studies in Europe. They will head to Paris-Panthéon-Assas University as exchange students next academic year.
The judges, including Gide partners Rupert Reece and Saadia Bhatty and associate Vincent Carriou, complimented the teams on the quality of their analysis, their eloquence, boldness, and also their creativity and humour.
We are sure that the "mooters" will go on to have very successful legal careers and Gide wishes them all the very best for the future.
Gide prides itself on the support and opportunities it provides for students wishing to pursue a career in the law. For information on training programmes and internships at Gide, we invite you to visit the dedicated area of this website - Being a Gide Trainee.
