Awards | UK | FBLS Annual Award, Prix Champagne Louis Roederer
Gide’s London office is delighted to have won the Franco British Lawyers Society's prestigious Annual Award, the prix Champagne Louis Roederer.
Jointly created by the Franco British Lawyers Society and the Champagne house Louis Roederer, the prize is awarded to an organisation, law firm, in-house legal department, charitable organisation or individual that has demonstrated an ‘outstanding contribution to helping French female lawyers practise in London’.
Now in its second year, the award was presented to Gide during a ceremony at the Residence of the French Ambassador on the evening of 4 May.
Gide is well aware of the importance of equality issues within our society as a whole, and more specifically within the business world and our bar association. We have taken the necessary steps to make gender balance a concrete reality and to ensure that women can achieve their full professional potential within the field of corporate law, whilst respecting each individual's choices. We have always upheld the principle of equal pay. Although Gide now has equal numbers of male and female associates and the proportion of female partners is increasing all the time, the firm has set itself a target of 30% female partners by 2025.
