Gide advised Roldrob S.A., a company from the Drosed Group (part of the LDC Group – the largest poultry producer in Europe) on the acquisition of the factory of Konspol in Nowy Sącz from Cargill, an American global agri-food company.
The acquisition aligns with LDC’s strategy of international expansion and marks an important step in the company’s entrance into the ready meals market.
The Gide team, comprising Paweł Grześkowiak, partner, Wojciech Czyżewski, counsel, Magdalena Zawiślak and Dominik Figura associates was responsible for providing comprehensive support to the client in the implementation of the transaction, including advice on the structuring of the transaction, preparing transaction documentation and supporting the client during negotiations, signing and closing. The proceedings before the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection were conducted by Szymon Chwaliński, associate. The due diligence was conducted by respective members of the Gide Warsaw team, specialising in the relevant areas of law.
This is the second major transaction signed by the French group on the Polish poultry market in the last year, and another project on which the Gide team advised. In November 2023, Gide Warsaw supported Drosed Holding on the acquisition of Indykpol Capital Group – a leading Polish organisation of poultry companies.

Cargill is a leading American global food corporation and one of the largest global private companies.
