A team of lawyers from Gide Warsaw advised KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. on negotiating a contract for work on implementing SMR-class small modular reactor technology with the American supplier NuScale Power.
Modern SMR reactor technology is being successfully developed by NuScale Power, which has one of the most advanced designs of its kind. KGHM is implementing this technology in response to the EU Fit-for-55 package and as part of the strategy to reduce emissions within the KGHM Group.
“Advising on this project confirms Gide's strong position as a proven legal advisor on strategic infrastructure and industrial investments," commented advocate Krzysztof Ciepliński, counsel specialising in complex advice on the implementation of technological processes.
The client was supported in this project by lawyers from Gide Warsaw. The work was coordinated by attorney-at-law Dariusz Tokarczuk, partner, and the team included advocate Krzysztof Ciepliński, counsel, and advocate Michał Głowacki, associate in the infrastructure projects practice.
