CSR | France | Gide has advised Réseau Môm'Artre, a charity that works for the cultural and artistic education of underprivileged children or from modest backgrounds, on the merger-absorption of its regional branches, Môm'Sud and Môm'Ouest, which carried the activities of Réseau Môm'Artre in other parts of France.
This support, carried out as part of Gide's pro bono programme, was able to continue despite the exceptional circumstances of 2020, and has been definitive since the merger was approved by the General Meeting of Réseau Môm'Artre on 19 December 2020.
Môm'Sud, Môm'Ouest and Réseau Môm'Artre share the same purpose, the same activity and are based on the same values. They usually come together to answer calls for projects and are linked by a cooperation contract which ensures the same quality of services delivered to the children they support. This merger-absorption enables Réseau Môm'Artre to boost its operation by simplifying its administrative and financial management, thereby ensuring its economic viability and, consequently, guaranteeing the sustainability of the project.
As winner of Gide's first internal call for pro bono projects in 2019, Réseau Môm'Artre had obtained financial support of EUR 10,000 per year for two years, and free legal support to cover its needs.
This is the second merger case carried out under the Gide Pro Bono programme for major charities working in equal opportunities.
Gide's team was headed by partner Hugues Scalbert, working with counsel Romain d'Innocente and associate Pauline de Roquefeuil.
"Supporting a charity active in the cultural and artistic development of underprivileged children from modest backgrounds has motivated us enormously, as we are all committed to this cause. Working with Réseau Môm'Artre on a highly complex issue of merger between several charities was an incredible experience", explains Romain d'Innocente.
"Gide's expertise enabled us to complete this merger project on time, in spite of a very unusual year. In addition to their technical support, the lawyers working by our side were very attentive to our needs and were very good teachers! We have come away from this experience with new knowledge that will help us in future. Thank you!", enthuses Chantal Mainguené, president of Réseau Môm’artre.
