Gide is very pleased and proud to announce that Carole Malinvaud, a partner in our Dispute Resolution practice, specialising in international arbitration, has been appointed by the French Government to be included in the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes' (ICSID) Panel of Arbitrators for a period of six years (until February 2025). This designation follows a rigorous selection process through a formal call for applications. This new procedure reflects France's leading role in the debates regarding the reform of investment dispute settlement procedures.

Carole co-heads the international arbitration activity of the firm and chairs the Gide Pro Bono endowment fund. Carole is a member of the Paris and New York Bars and acts regularly as counsel or arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings, both ad hoc and institutional, as well as before domestic French courts in relation to international litigation and arbitration. Specialising in international commercial law, and more particularly in international arbitration, Carole has recently been focusing on arbitrations relating to construction, energy and defence, under the rules of the ICC and ICSID. She also acts as arbitrator in several ICC and ICSID arbitrations.
Carole is a lecturer at University Paris II and at Sciences Po Paris's Law School. She currently chairs the French international arbitration commission (ICC France) and is the former chair of the French Arbitration Committee (CFA). She is an elected member of the ICCA Governing Board, as well as the International Council of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS), and chairs the Ordinary Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
