This new address is a clear expression of the firm's ambition to offer a high quality of reception to its clients, and new-gen workspaces that foster collective performance, creativity and well-being for all its teams.
Designed by architect Philipe Chiambaretta (PCA-STREAM), the firm’s new building complex covers 19,000 sq.m. A first building, dating back to the 19th century, will be used to welcome clients. A former eight-floor French Navy site built in 1948, with a contemporary architecture, will be the firm’s second building, which will house all lawyers and employees. The link between tradition and modernity is important to the firm, and a new glass and metal building has therefore been erected between the two buildings to embody this link.
Interior design was managed by Archimage for office spaces, and PCA-STREAM for common areas. Assistance to the contracting authority was handled by Orféo Développement. Gide's teams, alongside these three agencies, designed work and living spaces that bring together efficiency, synergy and comfort.
The HQE (High Quality Environmental standard) “Excellent” and BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) “Very Good” building certifications, as well as green spaces that encourage biodiversity, including a herb garden on the roof of the contemporary building, mean the firm can go further in its commitments towards Corporate and Social Responsibility.
For Gide senior and managing partners Xavier de Kergommeaux and Stéphane Puel: "Our move to rue de Laborde is the start of a new chapter for our firm, and goes hand-in-hand with our growth ambition and dynamic. More than a new address, it is a veritable corporate project that we imagined collectively and that is in line with our values of excellence and innovation".
Project architect Philippe Chiambaretta adds: "The dual identity of the Laborde project, a site between heritage and modernity, is ideal for a profession that relies on the structural and historic characteristics of the law, but must also constantly evolve with the society that such law governs. I am very pleased that, after long years of research, Gide has chosen this project to write a new page of its history."
