Gide is pleased to welcome Fleur Jourdan as Counsel in Paris within its Public and Administrative Law practice group.
Fleur Jourdan, 35, joins Gide after being Deputy Director General of the Région Ile-de-France (Paris region) services, under Jean-Paul Huchon, where she was in charge of legal affairs, procurement contracts and quality (2008-2015). Her fields of intervention covered transport and city planning, in particular as part of the Greater Paris (Grand Paris) project. She was also involved in setting up the structure supporting Paris’ bid for the 2024 Olympic Games.
A lead judge in administrative courts and administrative courts of appeal and a graduate of the Paris Institut d’Études Politiques, Fleur Jourdan was also a judge at the Administrative Court of Bastia from 2006 to 2008, where she was more specifically in charge of town planning issues.
Fleur can draw on her significant practical experience in awarding and implementing public procurement contracts, gained through her role at the Région Ile-de-France, the Communauté urbaine de Strasbourg (2005-2006) and the Ville de Paris, as a member of the first teams set up by former Paris mayor Bertrand Delanoë (2003-2005). In 2013, she created Maximilien, a portal grouping together all public procurement contracts entered into by the various administrations of the Paris region.
Fleur Jourdan is the author of “Leçons de droit des marchés publics” (Ed. Ellipses, 2014), and is on the editorial board of weekly legal journal La Semaine Juridique (Administration et Collectivités Territoriales).
