Gide advises Michelin on the creation of Fives Michelin Additive Solutions, a joint venture that will be 50% owned by Michelin and 50% owned by Fives, aimed at developing and marketing industrial machines and production shops on a global scale using the "metal additive manufacturing" technology - commonly known as metal 3D printing.
Fives Michelin Additive Solutions will offer manufacturers in various fields (such as automotive, aeronautics, healthcare, etc.) a global solution that includes the design and the manufacturing of machines or full manufacturing lines, and related services.
With the complementary expertise of both groups, Fives Michelin Additive Solutions aims to become a world leader in the booming metal additive manufacturing market.
The creation of the joint venture is subject to the approval of the relevant competition authorities.
The Gide team comprises Guillaume Rougier-Brierre (partner) and Benoit Allouis on corporate aspects, Yann Utzschneider (partner) and Franck Audran on competition aspects.
