Founded in Paris in 1920, Gide is a leading international law firm with 12 offices spread throughout the world.
Gide is physically present in six regions of the world, with 11 offices, enabling it to act on cases globally.
Launched in December 2014, the recruitment operation aimed at future student lawyers that rewards the best cover letters came to a close on 11 March 2015. Gide now reveals the names of the five young and talented individuals who won the Challenge.
For this first edition, the firm received over 60 cover letters on the selected topic “The best lawyer is also his own best advocate”. The jury, comprising Baudouin de Moucheron, Olivier Cousi, Foulques de Rostolan, Bénédicte Mazel and Philippe Dupichot, selected the ten best letters, without having any knowledge of the authors’ academic background or profile, basing their selection only on originality, writing style and relevance.
Our jury of experts then asked the ten finalists to an interview, and retained the five best.
They are:
1. In first place, Féline Marandet wins a cash prize of €3,000 and a paid internship (€2,500/month).
2. Runner-up Anne Migault wins a cash prize of €2,000 and a paid internship (€2,500/month).
3. From third to fifth place, Pascale Ekue, Gauthier Poulin and Pierre Pérot each win a cash prize of €1,000 and a paid internship (€2,500/month).
Gide would like to thank all participants for their time and efforts. Considering the success of this first edition, the firm has decided to repeat the Challenge in 2015.
