Gide Loyrette Nouel is delighted to announce that Cristian Enache has joined its Bucharest office as Head of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team.
Cristian Enache is a senior lawyer who was formerly head of the IP & IT Department Dispute Resolution team at the Wolf Theiss Bucharest office, and head of the Labour Litigation Department of OMV Petrom.
Cristian has gained significant expertise in various types of litigation and dispute resolution, such as commercial, civil, intellectual property, competition, fiscal and administrative litigation, as well as arbitration, including ICSID arbitration and settlements based on the US Foreign Claims Act.
In the complex cases he has handled, he has advised, assisted or represented multinational companies from various sectors, including banking, insurance, telecoms, food & beverage, cosmetics, airlines, real estate and wood processing. Additionally, he coordinated a key team advising on the acquisition of a Romanian oil company's shares, worth USD 3.6 billion.
Cristian is a qualified Romanian attorney at law and a member of the Bucharest Bar Association, with an additional licence for IP counselling in Patents, Trademarks, Designs and Models, delivered by the Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks. He holds an LL.M. degree from the Ovidius State University of Constanta, Romania, and speaks fluent French, English and Romanian.
