Appointments | Hungary
Gide Budapest, the head office of Gide’s South-East Europe practice, continues to develop as it announces the move of Franck Audran from the Paris office to co-head Gide Budapest, and the appointment of three new associates. All have an in-depth knowledge of the region and considerable experience of working on cross-border investments and transactions, and will make a strong contribution to the office.
Franck Audran worked for three years in Gide’s Bucharest office prior to joining the Competition and International Trade practice in Gide Paris. He has a deep knowledge of the region and its specificities.
Joining from Allen & Overy Budapest in October, Balázs Kutasi takes over the lead of the dispute resolution practice. Balázs has strong experience of handling dispute resolution matters, having developed special expertise in civil- and commercial-, as well as employment-related litigation. He started his career within the European Union Department of the Ministry of Justice of Hungary.
Dasa Vukelic, dual-qualified in New Zealand and English law, joins the Budapest office from White & Case LLP Budapest. Dasa focuses on cross-border M&A and private equity matters in the SEE region, and has been based in Budapest since 2007.
Anna-Mária Veres joined Gide in May 2014. She gained professional experience at well-known law firms both in Hungary and Romania, with a strong focus on business law-related matters. She has significant experience in advising international groups on complex M&A transactions, group restructurings and corporate financing projects. She is dual-qualified in Hungarian and Romanian law, and will thus reinforce our SEE group that operates from Budapest and assists our clients in their cross-border transactions and foreign investments in the SEE region.
Budapest partner Ákos Kovách said: "We are delighted to welcome Franck, Anna-Mária, Dasa and Balázs to our team. Their experience will fit in perfectly with our international expertise."
François d'Ornano, partner in charge of Gide Budapest and the firm's practice in South-East Europe, adds "The skill set of our new colleagues will help us to further develop our local knowledge and assist our clients in their investment projects in both Central and South-Eastern Europe."
