Olivier Cousi passed away this Wednesday 2 March 2022 aged 62.
Olivier had joined Gide in 1986, becoming partner in 1993. He was instrumental in establishing and developing our firm's Intellectual Property, Telecommunications, Media & Technology practice group.
Former Secretary of the Conference and former member of the Paris Bar Council, Olivier Cousi was President of the Paris Bar Association from January 2020 to December 2022. He committed himself wholly to the service of our peers and our profession, fulfilling an exemplary Presidency right up to the last.
He was recognised by his peers and his clients alike for his excellence and professionalism, quick spirit and kindness. He was respected and liked by his teams and the people he worked with.
He will be sorely missed.
We honour his memory and send our heartfelt sympathies to his family and loved ones.
Gide, and the Paris Bar, are today unspeakably sad and orphaned.
