At the end of the second round of voting to elect the future president and vice-president of the Paris Bar Association last Thursday, Olivier Cousi and Nathalie Roret were selected by all Paris lawyers to succeed current position holders Marie-Aimée Peyron and Basile Ader.
They win the election with nearly 60% of votes cast, ahead of pair Carbon de Seze and Nathalie Dubois.
On 1 January 2020, Olivier Cousi and Nathalie Roret will represent Paris lawyers and promote the activities of the Bar Council with the various institutions, the general public and of course, the legal profession as a whole.
A specialist in the law applicable to media, the audiovisual industry, telecommunications, and the Internet, Olivier Cousi has been a Gide partner since 1993. He was instrumental in establishing and developing the firm's Intellectual Property, Telecommunications, Media & Technologies practice group.
Former member of the Conseil de l'Ordre (National Council of the Bar) and the Conseil National des Barreaux (National Council of Bars), and member of the Paris Bar Association Ethics Committee since 2015, Nathalie Roret has been a partner of law firm Farthouat Avocats since 1997. She specialises in business criminal law, public health, environment and cybercrime.
