Gide has advised Quadran, a subsidiary of Total and a major generator of renewable electricity, on the acquisition of Vents d'Oc Energies Renouvelables from German group Windwärts Energies GmbH.
Founded in 2002, Vents d'Oc develops wind and solar power projects. It operates in France and employs 12 people.
This acquisition will enable Quadran to supplement its portfolio of ongoing projects by about 200 MW, and strengthen its territorial coverage. It will also contribute to Total's objective of holding an electricity production capacity of about 7GW from renewable sources by 2022.
Gide's team advising Quadran was led by partner Alexis Pailleret, working with associate Pierre-Adrien Lienhardt on regulatory aspects, associate Chloé Bouhours on M&A aspects, associate Laure Dufour on environmental law aspects, associate Lucie Pernet on urban planning law aspects, counsel Alexandre Bochu on tax aspects, and counsel Yan-Eric Logeais on labour law aspects.
The Windwärts Energies GmbH group was advised by GGV Avocats and Rothschild.
