Gide has advised Gaia Capital Partners on the creation of their management company and on the structuring of a first investment fund which aims to have a capital size of 200 million euros.
Gaia Capital Partners, co-founded by Elina Berrebi and Alice Albizzati, is launching its first growth fund to support start-ups that have reached an advanced stage of development and can demonstrate a positive impact on society and/or the environment, in particular with the intention to help them expand internationally.
For the moment it is financed by companies of the Generali group, Bpifrance, Sycomore AM and about fifty family offices or individuals. Gaia Growth I will be used to inject tickets valuing between €10-20 million into 10-15 start-ups in France, Germany, Scandinavia, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain.
With regards to the fund structuring aspects, the Gide team was made up of Rima Maîtrehenry, counsel, and Kikoun Coulibaly, associate. On tax aspects it comprised Christian Nouel, partner and on corporate aspects, Louis Oudot de Dainville, counsel.
