Gide has advised Eurazeo, main shareholder of Molotov, the leading TV streaming platform launched in France in 2016, as part of its acquisition by fuboTV, leading US-based live TV and sports programmes streaming platform, making it the European hub of the group's operations.
This USD 190 million (approx. EUR 164.3 million) cash and securities acquisition of Molotov by fuboTV is subject to required approvals and customary closing conditions, with an estimated closing date in the first quarter of 2022.
Gide's team comprised partner David-James Sebag, working with Julien Negroni, Paul Jourdan-Nayrac and Marie-Sophie Chevreteau on M&A/corporate aspects, and partner Paul de France on aspects of tax law.
