On 3 December 2018, partner Dariusz Tokarczuk received the "Prawnik 30-lecia" (Lawyer of the last 30 years) award, established by the management board of the Polish Association of Legal Employers (Polskie Stowarzyszenie Pracodawców Prawniczych) and the Rzeczpospolita daily newspaper as a celebration of the upcoming 30th anniversary of democracy and the free market in Poland.
The award recognises those lawyers whose professional accomplishments and experience significantly contributed to the development of the Polish corporate legal sector after 1989, as well as to the development of the Polish economy in general.
The jurors appreciated Dariusz Tokarczuk’s involvement in both advising foreign investors launching their activity in Poland, and serving Polish investments abroad. They also highlighted his involvement in various key projects of the Polish economy and the Polish market of legal corporate services: the acquisition by PFR and PZU of a controlling share in Bank Pekao S.A., the sale of the largest Polish telecommunications operator (Polkomtel S.A.) and the largest Polish foreign investment, as well as the acquisition of Canadian company Quadra.
