On 7 July 2015, the European Commission authorised the acquisition of Kem One Innovative Vinyls by OpenGate Capital Group Europe in Stage I.
The European Commission came to the conclusion that the merger of the parties’ activities on the S-PVC compounds and PVC building systems markets, in particular for doors and windows, raised no competition concerns.
This operation is part of the sale of Kem One by the Klesch group.
The merger procedure in Brussels was managed by Gide with a team comprising partner Dimitri Dimitrov, counsel Sophie Quesson, and associate Charles Terdjman. Paul Hastings LLP (partner Lionel Spizzichino) advised OpenGate Capital on corporate/restructuring aspects.
