Gide and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised a Data Protection seminar for Japanese companies on the topic of "How Japanese companies should take into account the general data protection regulation (GDPR)", on 27 September 2017, from 8.30 to 11 am at Gide's Paris office.
The GDPR will significantly impact Japanese companies carrying out business activities in EU countries.The presentation included a general overview of the GDPR and practical details regarding compliance with the GDPR.
Speakers included Gide partner Thierry Dor, specialising in technology and data protection law, and Yoshiyuki Kizu, senior associate at Nishimura & Asahi.
