Gide Warsaw has advised Enterprise Investors Fund IX on an investment in the company Advanced Protection Systems, Poland's largest independent manufacturer of ultra-precision radar and complex anti-drone systems.
The team from Gide Warsaw, comprising Paweł Grześkowiak (advocate, partner), Wojciech Czyżewski (advocate, senior associate) and Magdalena Zawiślak (trainee attorney-at-law, associate), provided comprehensive support to the fund in connection with the transaction. The firm's lawyers conducted a due diligence investigation, prepared a standard set of transaction documentation and advised the client at the negotiations and the closing stages of the transaction.
Advanced Protection Systems (APS) is a market pioneer operating in the field of high technology. The company was founded by Dr Maciej Klemm, acting CEO, and Dr Radosław Piesiewicz, COO, as a natural continuation of their academic careers. Starting the project in 2015, the founders focused on the development and production of radar technology and dedicated software. Over the years and as the demand for drone detection systems has grown, APS has become a leading provider of such solutions. The proprietary radar technology developed by the company has a unique market advantage - it enables faster and more precise detection, and classification of many LSS (low-slow-small) objects.
